Volunteers needed for the Fingerling Festival: Saturday, May 3rd

April 22, 2014
Volunteers are still needed for the 23rd annual Fingerling Festival being held on Saturday, May 3rd. Over 4,500 visitors and more than 60 environmental organizations will be in attendance. Kids help to release 40,000 fingerling (juvenile) salmon into Noons Creek and there is entertainment throughout the day. It's lots of fun!

Volunteers may work in groups! This is a great way to get your volunteer hours.

Volunteers needed for any or all of these shifts:
  • 9 - 11am - setting up the food tent and ice rink area
  • 11am - 1pm - food tent, cooking and selling hot dogs, chips and drinks
  • 1pm - 3pm - food tent, cooking and selling hot dogs, chips and drinks
  • 3pm - 4pm - cleaning up and putting away

There will be an opportunity to take breaks and meet the environmental groups attending. Volunteers are provided with a hot dog lunch and a letter stating hours worked (must be requested).

See the attachment for more information and contact info.
