Dear Birchland Community,
I am proud to announce that this year's Birchland Elementary Terry Fox Run will be held on Thursday May 4th 2017. Terry Fox was raised in Port Coquitlam and is one of Canada's most inspiring heroes. The Terry Fox Run is a symbol of hope and raises millions of dollars annually towards Cancer Research.
This past Tuesday, students went home with their Terry Fox pledge sheets. Parents and community members also have the option to donate online by heading to http://www.terryfox.ca/BirchlandElementary This link will take donors to our school's fundraising page where they can click "donate" on the top right of the page and make a contribution. Please return pledge form by Thursday May 18th.

All parents and community members are welcome to come out and support our students on their run. Students will be running on the Birchland Elementary field. I will be looking for approximately 10 parent volunteers to support the event. If you are available please email me at skitts@sd43.bc.ca
