TEDDY BEAR PICNICTOWN CENTRE PARKYes

​VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Picnic will be on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam. We are in need of volunteers from 9am to 6pm. There will not be a parade this year.

Volunteers are needed for the following:

Set up

Take down (these shifts will be until 6pm)

Stage volunteers/wranglers

Open and close barricades in parking lot

Clean picnic tables in food area

Grounds maintenance

Collection of recyclables

End of line place holders for face painters, etc at end of day

Attached is the volunteer release form Volunteer Release Form 2024 TEDDY BEAR PICNIC.doc. Please have volunteers complete and return the form to me and I will reach out to them closer to the date.

Garden Volunteers Needed

Where:  The Centennial and Canadian Hybridized Gardens at 1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam

When:  Starts April 2024 and expires November 15, 2024

Time commitment:  1 to 3 hours per week Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

 

Get in touch with your green thumb and the stress release benefit of working in a garden. 

 

The Fraser Pacific Rose Society is a non-profit organization in a partnership agreement with the City of Coquitlam to maintain these gardens.  We will pair you with an experienced rosarian to show you how to care for the roses during their yearly cycle.  Garden tools will be available for you to use.  Just bring yourself.

We are having an in-garden workshop held in conjunction with Park Spark on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm to learn how to “Wake Up the Roses “.  You are welcome to stop by to see what we are all about.
