activities provide a great opportunity for students to make new friends and develop a sense of belonging. We hope they will learn many meaningful lessons that come from being involved in either an area of music, art, creative writing or drama.

Every child is welcome to enter band and/or choir in either grade 6, 7, or 8. Band and Choir are year-long commitments. It is expected that students attend as many rehearsals and concerts as possible - they are part of a team.
Bands: There are two bands: the BEGINNER BAND is for first year wind players in grade 6, 7, or 8. The SENIOR BAND is for second and third year players in any grade. This band will experience more theory, sheet music and performance. Beginner Band rehearsals are at 7:45am on Mondays & Thursdays. Senior Band rehearsals are at 7:45am on Tuesdays & Fridays.
Choir: Any student may join the MUSTANG CHOIR who is willing to work towards a team goal of the performance of quality music. Mustang Choir rehearsals are at 7:45am on Wednesdays.

Writers’ Group - Ms. Sinclair
This group meets in the library twice a week to have lunch in the library and then move onto the computer lab to write. At the end of the school year we produce a magazine for all the students who contributed.
BTW we have had two writers place in the top 100 entries out of 500 for The Lisa Rector International writing competition. Way to go writers!
