Class Placement for Next Year
During our Pro-D Day on May 18th, teachers will perform a “trial build” of classes for next year. We will
revisit this trial build numerous times between May and September. I will not be sending out paper parent request forms this year; if you have a serious concern about class placement that the school should know about, I ask that you discuss this with me via telephone or through a face to face meeting prior to May 18th. An example of something serious you may wish to discuss with me is an ongoing social situation that you feel may have impacted your child’s progress at school. The notes I take from our meeting are attached to the placement card we develop so that we can reference them as we work.
RCMP Junior Mountie Police Academy Program
Please see our website for more information posted under “Publications”. The Academy is open to Grade 4 and 5 students (check the birth-years for accuracy). The application is fairly comprehensive. See here for more information as well.
FSA Booklets
I still have a number of the Grade 4 Foundation Skills Assessment booklets in my office. I realize many parents have chosen not to receive the booklets; I am just ensuring that I haven’t missed anyone who wants their child’s results. Please send me a note, and I will send the FSA home with your child.
