To increase student skill in solving problems in peaceful ways. This goal has been retired.

Goal 1: To increase student reading comprehension has been retired.  Staff feel that reading levels are high and most students not yet meeting or minimally meeting are ESL students and therefore should not be expected to meet the same standards as those students whose first language is English.  In the primary grades, most students not yet or minimally meeting expectations are in the French program and historically improve by the time they reach the intermediate grades. 
Goal 2: to increase student skill in solving problems in peaceful ways has been retired.  Staff feel that we should instead address the root of potential conflict by teaching students to be respectful of others and of the school rules.

To improve student communication skills in the area of story writing.

To increase the demonstration of respectful and responsible behaviour.
