Coquitlam Open Learning offers three types of learning environments, allowing you to choose the course format that works best for you:
Fast Track (Blended Delivery) – These courses will have specific start dates (either first semester, second semester or full year) and you will need attend some regularly scheduled classes, with most of the course being completed online. Students will be required to travel to specific schools for face-to-face sessions which will be held up to once a week, outside of the regular school day. The face-to-face classes will be used for seminars, group discussions, labs, and extra support.
Continual Entry Online – Students may enter at any point between September and July and have 10 months to complete the course on a flexible-paced schedule. Students registering for online courses must be prepared to do the majority of communication with their teacher and course work using online tools, such as email and chat.
Learning Centers – These courses are offered at our two drop-in learning center, CLOC near Coquitlam Center. These courses allow students to enter at any point during the year and are self-paced. Depending on the course and student preference, these courses could be either online or paper-based.
