Refund Policy
Refunds
All refund requests must be in written form. Refund requests can be submitted in person, by fax 604 936 6594 or by email cerefunds@sd43.bc.ca.
Cancelled Courses
If a course is cancelled by Continuing Education a full refund will be returned to you automatically.
Continuing Studies & Vocational Courses
A full refund will be issued when a request is received in writing before the half-way point of the first class. After that a processing fee of $25 is charged and the refund will be pro-rated based on the time remaining in the program, not the number of classes actually attended. There will be no refunds issued past the one-quarter (25%) point of any course.
Manual/Textbook Return Policy
Students can return their manual if they withdraw before the half-way point of the first class as long as it is not damaged or written in. If so, they will be charged the going rate. If the request is received after the 1st class OR the manual is damaged there will be no refunds issued. Language books are non-refundable.
High School Credit Courses
Course deposits will be returned at a rate of 100% less damages. Students who have not completed a minimum of 10% of their self-paced/online course will be refunded at 40% of their deposit. Students in Face to Face classes must attend a minimum of 10 hours in the classroom to receive a full refund, otherwise the course deposit will be returned at a rate of 40%. Course deposits will be refunded by cheque or credit card within 4 weeks. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if books are returned more than one month after course has ended OR withdrawal from the course. No refund will be made for workbooks that have been used or otherwise damaged. International students will not receive a course fee refund oncethe course has started or for materials provided in self-paced courses.
Transfer Fee
A $25 Transfer Fee may be charged at the discretion of Continuing Education.
Assessment Fee
The assessment fee is non-refundable.
