Students are deemed to be active in online courses after they have completed a significant assignment or test in the course. Generally the significant assignment should be worth 5% of the course.

Students 19 and over are legally adults and are protected by Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy legislation.  As a result, information regarding student progress cannot be released directly to parents.
Students who are under 19 are considered school-aged.  Coquitlam Continuing Education staff is happy to communicate with parents of school-aged students in support of student learning.

By law, smoking is not permitted anywhere on any school property in the province of British Columbia.

Contact Canada Revenue Agency for specific rulings, as regulations change without notice. Do not lose your receipt - a replacement fee will be charged.

High School Credit courses are free for adults who have not graduated.  Graduated Adults must pay a tuition fee for High School Credit courses.  High School Credit courses also have a $100 refundable deposit (see refund policy for details).
 
However, Foundations courses are tuition free for most BC residents.  International rates are available for non-residents.  Please contact Montgomery Centre at 604.936.4261 for more information.

Classes not held due to holidays or emergency cancellations are made up at the end of the course. Your instructor will provide details. In case of snow, listen to CKNW 980 or CKWX 1130 for possible cancellation.
