Riverside Secondary School's girls' basketball club are hosting the 14th annual "Tournament for Emily" December 20-22.  Senior girls' basketball coach, Paul Langford started the tournament with the aim to create a culture where his players learned to give back.

 In 13 years its helped raise $81,900 for the BC Children's Hospital to help fund research and treatment of cancer in children.

The tournament and fundraising is done in tribute to the spirit of Emily Inglis, who at age 12 succumbed to cancer before she got a chance to enroll at Riverside.

The basketball tournament is a high level tournament with several teams ranked in the top 10 of the province, including teams from Abby, Brookswood, Centennial, Langley Christian, McMath, Riverside, Sardis, Sullivan, Walnut Grove and Whistler.

Update: This year they rasied $42,00 brining the grand total to over $86,000 raised!
