The Student Services Department of School District 43 exists to provide both direct and consultative service to students with special needs and the staff that support them. As well, the department works with families and community agencies.

Information for Staff and Parents

The Student Services Department offers support under the umbrella of special education in an inclusive school environment. Our many professionals and paraprofessionals work in partnership with school-based staff to bridge the gaps and address the challenges faced by students with exceptionalities.  Professional practice is directed by the Ministry of Education through the publication, Special Education Services: A Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, as well as district collective agreements and policy guidelines.
