Coquitlam Open Learning is pleased to offer a comprehensive full-time studies program for students in grades 10-12 who wish to take the majority or all of their studies online.  Our unique program provides tremendous student flexibility while providing students with access to school district resources - all tuition free.
The Online Immersion Program can involve entirely online studies or be combined with part-time course loads at your neighborhood secondary school, allowing to you gain access to electives such as shop classes, chef training, media development, arts and more.  As School District 43's virtual school, we have the ability to shape a creative and flexible program that meets your unique learning needs.

The COL Online Immersion Program is ideal for:

• Students seeking an alternative approach to learning which allows for more learner flexibility
• Home Learners looking for increased teacher support and Dogwood Graduation
• Elite athletes and performers whose schedules make it difficult to attend school full-time
• Students seeking trades apprenticeship opportunities which require work during the day
• Students who leave the community for periods of time

Key features of the program include:

• Bi-weekly school community activities which support PE and Leadership programs
• Bi-weekly scheduled tutorial sessions with teachers
• Customized learning program focused on individual needs
• Support learning to become an effective online learner
• Activities to help families learn to support online learners
• A dedicated program coordinator to act as liaison and academic advisor for your program

Program requirements:

• Students must enroll in a minimum of 5 COL courses per year
• Students are required to enroll in our Online Learning Strategies course (2 credit)
• $200 refundable material and resource deposit
